A true human-dog relationship

A true human-dog relationship

Every summer until he was 18 years old, Manolios went to his grandparents' summer house to spend his holidays. This house was far from a village and somewhere lost in the forest. So apart from the company of his family, he was looking for ways to pass the time and find company. He loved spending his time through gardening, playing video games, walking in the fields, chopping wood for the grill, etc. However, one of those summers was going to be completely different.

To start things from the beginning. On Thursday 16th of June, Manolios started with his mother and his brothers, but also everything they would need for their summer vacation, in order to go to their summer house. When he got there, he saw a stray dog sitting outside the yard of his house staring at them. He was like a shy visitor. He was looking, but not approaching... Manolios immediately rushed to approach it! As soon as he got behind the wires, the dog started to get scared and take his first steps back. It seemed like he had been abused by its boss in the past and it was hard for him to trust again... Every time Magnolias got closer, every time Dennis (that's how he had called him) took a step back. As soon as he realized that this is probably not the right way, he decided to stop, sit next to him and wait. 12 hours passed and then he went home to sleep. The next day again the same and this situation continued for 3 days.

On the fourth day it was as if something won him over, as he entered the yard and approached on his own! Manolios' persistence won him over! From then on, as you understand, a classic dog-boss story began: together in the sea, together in the gym, together for a walk. Everything together. After all, Manolios was living the pet experience for the first time and he was ecstatic.

One day, Manolios had argued with his family about a family matter and left home to be forgotten. He was not well and started crying. Dennis, observing Manolio, discreetly followed him. On the walk that followed Dennis may never have spoken, but he was always there (look empathy!).

Not to make it too long for you, because my text also has to have a certain word limit (haha), this relationship lasted for 2.5 months, until the summer finally ended and unfortunately Manolios had to go back to normal. And normality said that because of the financial difficulties, but also due to the small house in which he lived, he would not be able to take Dennis with him. On the day of the departure, Dennis chased the car until the moment his endurance left him... Manolios was moved and turned to his mom with a complaint and said to her: "I wish mom we could keep it."

After a week, Manolios asked the grandparents to take him to a neighbor, who already had 3 dogs, so that she could host him until he found new owners. As Manolios learned a few days later, Dennis was given to another family.

I don't know if Dennis found his peace after this development and we will probably never know... What is certain is that Manolios probably not. Just with time the wound heals and opens again only when he digs it...
