Exhibition in Limassol Archaeological Museum
Amathus is one of the most important archaeological sites with profound history of Limassol and the whole island.
By completing of 40 years of excavations of the French Archaeological Mission Amathus exhibited in Limassol Archaeological Museum, various discoveries from the French excavations and the Antiquities Department.
These discoveries highlight an extended period from prehistory to the Christian era, giving an approximate picture of life in ancient Amathus, lifestyle habits of worship, trade and cultural activities.
The exhibition is organized by the Department of Antiquities in cooperation with the French School at Athens.
The exhibition is open to the public until Friday, July 7, 2017.
