International Festival "Cypria 2016 "

With a budget of 460 000 euro and 14 productions Scheduled place of this year's International "Cypriot Festival 2016".
As part of this year's event will provide a total of 42 performances, eight of which are with free entrance to the public. The "Cypria 2016" raise curtain on September 1 with the theatrical production of "Socrates, now."
Pluralism
"From September 1 until October 7, 2016 the public will enjoy theater, opera, dance and music in a beautiful stroll in the field of performing arts," said among others presenting this year's festival himself of Education and Culture Minister Costas Kadis.
This year, the program includes two performances specifically for children, while three of the productions will rise in public with free admission.
"Also, this year, alongside the major cities, emphasizes the presence of the festival in smaller urban and rural centers with performances in Aradippou, Dali, Deryneia, Paralimni, Geroskipou and Chloraka."
Speaking at a press conference for the festival, the Education and Culture Minister said that "main concern" of his ministry, "is to maintain institutions established in recent years," both its own -as are "Cypriot" - as and subsidized cultural institutions.
International and Cypriot
The productions of this year's event arrive in Cyprus in September and October in Germany, the United Kingdom, the USA, Hungary, Poland, Chile and Greece.
However -for the fourth consecutive years- artistic director of the festival Antis Partzilis took care to involve Cypriots, either alone or in collaboration with international artists. The examples are not few: the Hungarian saxophonist Tony Lakatos cooperate with Cypriot Michael Hermes guitarist, the bassist Adam Zoukovski and Chilean drummer Luis Mora in compositions of Lakatos and Michael, Alexandra Vagierstal cooperate with Cypriot and German dancers for her new production the Monsieur Doumani Cypriots will give a concert together with the British She'Koyokh.

KaragkioZEIS everywhere, Moving Karagiozis: A comedy of Theodore Kostidaki, suitable for all ages, in which humorous traditional character of Greek shadow theater alternated with contemporary references. Invitation feat project. Tony Lakatos: A unique set of four jazz artists from different countries who share their musical experiences and ideas through original compositions of world recognized Hungarian saxophonist Tony Lakatos and rising Cypriot guitarist Michael Hermes. Ensemble Casual, History of Tango: An interactive music performance that aims to present the tango through a historical overview of the pieces of Piazzolla, Mendizabal, Villoldo, Donato etc. September 12: Faneromeni Square Nicosia / September 13 Parking Mousalla, Paphos.
