Italian Culture Workshop: Talking Without Words...
Thursday 6 June from at 5.30 - 6.30pm, in Nicosia
CIAO BELLI!
«According to the anthropologist, Desmond Morris hands are for human beings like a stick for the conductor of an orchestra, with which we direct the rhythm and meaning of words». Using this metaphor I believe that Italians are the best 'orchestra’s conductors' in the world...
...and YES! Of COURSE, WE ARE! If you believe that Italians are well known only for PASTA and PIZZA E MANDOLINO, well, we also love to shake our hands!!
There is a whole world made of gestures and signs that we use to communicate with each other. Lots of hours saved without words...don't you think?
So, if you are wishing to learn a new language but you're not willing to spend hours on boring grammar books... throw them in the air and join me in the quest of the language of Italian gestures! »
Alessia Rizzato, volunteer at YEU Cyprus.
Alessia Rizzato, told Cyprus Alive that the event will be an "informal lesson", where she will explain the main and most commonly known gestures used by Italians when they talk. There will also be some fun interactive games to understand the gestures.that the event will be an "informal lesson", in which will explain the main and most famous gestures used by Italians when they talk.
