March 15th, World Consumer Day!
Today!
Today, March 15th, we celebrate World Consumer Day!
This celebration was established in 1983 by a UN decision, in a speech by US President John Kennedy.
On March 15th, 1962, John Kennedy, in a speech in Congress, outlined the four basic consumer rights: Satisfaction of basic needs, security, information and choice.
He also said: "We are all consumers! This is the largest economic unit, which affects, but is also affected almost by any public or private economic decision. The consumer is the only significant economic unit, which is not effectively organised and whose views are not heard. "
However as it is the consumer day is a perfect day for shopping, it’s a nice opportunity to go for shopping!
