SCYENCE FAIR 2019 - The Cyprus Institute

Celebration of research, technology and innovation: 15th & 16th March 2019

The Cyprus Institute organizes for the first time the SCYENCE FAIR 2019 on the 15th-16th March 2019, under the auspices of the Minister of Education and Culture, and with the support of Aglantzia Municipality.

“SCYENCE FAIR 2019” is a 2 day-long celebration of research, technology and innovation pioneered by The Cyprus Institute’ s 3 research centres, and by young students presenting their scientific explorations.

The public will have the opportunity to visit the facilities and laboratories of The Cyprus Institute, and get acquainted with 3 major areas of research on Energy, Environment and Water Resources, Archaeology and Computational Science.

Friday, 15th March:
10:00 a.m. – 18:00 p.m. : Open to the public to visit- Exhibition of CyI labs & exhibition of students’ science projects
16:00 p.m. – 17:00 p.m. : Lecture by Dr. Katerina Kaouri (Cardiff University)
17:00 p.m. – 18:00 p.m. : Lecture by Fame-lab Finalists (TBC)
Saturday, 16th March:
10:00 a.m. – 18:00 p.m. : Open to the public to visit- Exhibition of CyI labs & exhibition of students’ science projects
16:00 p.m. – 17:00 p.m. : Lecture (TBC) @ Seminar Room 1st floor GOB Building
17:00 p.m. – 18:00 p.m. : Lecture (TBC) @ Seminar Room 1st floor GOB Building
