Despite the fact being in a troubled neighbourhood, Cyprus is considered to be one of the safest countries to invest and to live.

The first signs of civilization in Cyprus can be traced back to the 9th millennium B.C. In the crossroads between the East and the West and an important trade centre, Cyprus was conquered by many successive powers dominating the Mediterranean region through the centuries. This made Cyprus what it is today, a harmonious unique blend of various cultures, with stronger being the Greek element. Traces of this entire blend can be found in people, in architecture and culture in general. Cyprus is full of historic monuments, museum, churches, cultural centres, theatres, music halls, traditional villages, and many more.
