Multipurpose Social Welfare Centre of the Municipality of Pafos

Visit of the Minister Mrs. Zeta Aimilianidou

The Minister of Labour, Welfare and Social Insurance, Mrs. Zeta Aimilianidou, will pay a visit to the Multipurpose Centre of Social Welfare of the Municipality of Pafos next Thursday, April 15th.

This modern and innovative Multipurpose centre of the Municipality of Pafos recently started its operation with innovative equipment and programmes that fully meet European standards.

The construction of the centre took place at a total cost of 3.8 million euros and was co-financed by the Structural Funds of the European Union and specifically by the European Social Fund.

The aim of this centre is to house social welfare services and to unite social care units and social programmes according to the needs of the local community of the Municipality of Pafos and the wider areas, actively supporting young families and working mothers at the same time.

The following services operate in the centre:

• Nursery and preschool department (evening employment will be available soon)
• At the end of the school year, there will be a Summer Employment Program for primary school children.
