Discovering Indian flavours in Ayia Napa

Fire up your taste buds with an explosion of the most authentic flavours

A recent visit to Ayia Napa led us to discover the authentic flavours of India. As we strolled down Nissi Avenue, we came across an Indian restaurant that stood out from the rest. Intrigued, we decided to dine at Rasoi Indian Cuisine.

A captivating atmosphere
Upon entering Rasoi, we were immediately transported to a world where warm colours, traditional Indian designs, and aromatic spices create a feast for the senses. The designed interiors evoked India, with traditional artwork and comfortable seating that set the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable dinner.

A culinary journey
At Rasoi, the menu is a love letter to Indian cuisine, meticulously crafted by experienced chefs who prepare authentic Indian recipes using fresh ingredients. The attentive staff provided excellent recommendations and were very friendly in explaining each dish. We began our culinary journey with a selection of mouthwatering appetisers and traditional bread. We tried vegetable samosas, spring rolls, prawn pakoda, and paneer paratha – bread with Indian cottage cheese. From the very first bite, we were thrilled!

For the main courses, our options were limitless. However, we had to make a decision, so we each ordered a different dish to sample. A vibrant array of colours and aromas arrived at our table… We enjoyed butter chicken and chicken tikka masala, cooked in a traditional Indian oven, which melted in our mouths. We couldn't miss dishes like prawn curry for seafood, lamb madras for lamb, and karahi vegetables for a vegetarian option. Each dish was better than the other.

To accompany our dinner, we chose from an impressive selection of wines, beers, and cocktails, each person picking what appealed to them. No Indian meal is complete without dessert, and Rasoi did not disappoint. We indulged in classic options like gulab jamun – soft dough balls soaked in syrup – and rasgulla – spongy balls made from sweetened milk, served in rose syrup.

Our entire experience at Rasoi Indian Cuisine was exceptional. If you enjoy Indian cuisine, you must visit… and if you haven't tried Indian food yet, this is your chance!
