Mint to Be: Fresh pasta you’ll want to add to your list
An Exclusive Interview with Owner Andreas Savva
In the heart of Limassol, there is a small shop that offers fresh pasta of high quality.
The Cyprus Alive team had the pleasure of speaking with Mr. Andreas Savva, the owner of Mint to Be, to learn more about the inspiration behind the establishment of the shop and the unique food it offers.
"Mint to Be first started in 2019, during COVID. It was an innovative and original idea for a type of food that everyone eats. The vision was to create food that is well-known and loved by people, in a street food concept - tasty and, of course, at great prices."
"Our name comes from ‘Meant to Be,’ and we turned it into ‘Mint to Be,’ incorporating the English term for mint, which pairs well with pasta recipes. Here at Mint to Be, we offer high-quality food and flavour. Our pasta is freshly made and prepared daily. We offer it at competitive prices that you don’t easily find in street food pasta."
"We make the dough ourselves every day, and we have four types of pasta: curly, penne, cassarecce, and bucatini. The ingredients we use, especially the vegetables, are fresh and sourced daily. Additionally, we make our own sauces, such as pesto and tomato sauce."
"One of our most popular dishes is the Chicky-Chicky ‘Shroom, made with chicken, mushrooms, parsley, and parmesan cream. It has become quite a favourite."
